Programs RESCU Has in Place
|
- RESCU Rallies and other fundraising/awareness events See the list of festivals that support the RESCU Foundation on the 'volunteer' page
- Disbursement program designed for immediate effectiveness The majority of the money raised at any event is usually disbursed within a few weeks of the event, sometimes sooner. Any money that is earmarked for the national level is used for those that have long-term needs and is disbursed once the committee informs the foundation of the need, or covers the costs of new programs or business expenses. No money is ever used for salaries, as this is entirely a volunteer foundation.
- Counseling Program - for emotional needs RESCU Foundation recognizes that sometimes with illness comes emotional trauma. We have available a PhD counselor to help with adjusting to such difficulties.
- Legal Program - for living wills and power of attorney A unique chance for our community to prepare for what many don't want to think about. Many ignore setting up wills until it's too late. This is the opportunity to make certain you are prepared for your loved ones peace of mind.
- First Aid / CPR program - in cooperation with the Miami Township Fire/Rescue, we are proud to bring to our community the American Heart Association training program. There are now 48 people certified in first aid and CPR through this program, with more joining the ranks every few months.
- Advocate program - our opportunity to help those that face astronomical medical bills. With just a few people using their negotiating skills, we have been able to drop
hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of bills from our community.
|
RESCU is growing every single year with your support. While we are striving to be able to
financially assist our community as much as we possible can, we are not financially capable of completely
relieving someone’s medical debt. As part of our Advocacy Program, and with thanks
to the many non profit organizations and knowledgeable professionals who have helped train and guide us, we have discovered
a wealth of other resources that may be able to help you even further beyond what RESCU has to offer.
